Welcome to Kadampa Meditation Center New York in Glen Spey

You can drop in for a relaxing meditation class, stroll the 82 acres of natural woodlands, enjoy a Saturday workshop, or give yourself a whole weekend to find inner peace at the World Peace Temple. Located at 47 Sweeney Road in Glen Spey, NY, just two hours outside of New York City in the Sullivan Catskills, our year-round program of courses and retreats cater to people at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.

As the US National Temple, we are part of a worldwide network of Kadampa Buddhist centers in more than 40 countries. Founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, KMC New York and its community show by example how world peace is possible. Whether coming for a day trip, an introduction to Buddhist meditation, or in-depth courses and retreats, KMC New York offers an enjoyable experience to all who visit.
